Pre – Writing : T introduces the topic of the lesson : Describing a city. Task 1 : Read the description of London. Then write the answers to the question. ( answer complete sentence ) T provides Ss vocabulary in the text and calls some Ss to read loudly vocabulary. Vocabulary : Situated (a) = located ¨ Ex : Cuc Phuong National Park is situated in south west of Ha Noi Tourist (n) : someone who travels for pleasure Roman (n) : People who are citizen or soldier of the ancient Roman Republic T divides class into 2 groups, Group 1 answers the question from 1 to 3 and Group 2 from 4 to 7. While – Writing : Task 2 : Write a description of a city or town in Vietnam you know well. T elicits some cities in Vietnam, for example Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh, Da Lat, Buon Ma Thuot, etc. T shows information about Ha Noi and questions. T calls some Ss to go to the board write their answer. There are too many cars, buses and motorbikes but the streets are narrow. The best things about Ha Noi are ancient houses , streets and people. Coming here you can walk through ancient streets to see small ancient houses as well as you will have a chance to contact Hanoi people, who are elegant and natural .
