Period: 10 Lesson 5: LANGUAGE FOCUS I/- Aim: By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to understand the usages of adverb clauses of reason, adjective + that clause, and conditional sentences 1 II/- Language contents: 1/- Grammar: Adj. and advs. Adj. + that- clause Adverb clauses of reason: As, Since, Because Conditional sentences 1 2/- Vocabulary: sea creature, preserve, respiratory problem, seriously, inedible. poisonous III/- Techniques: Goupwork, Brainstorming. IV/- Teaching aids: Small board V/- Procedures: T’s and Ss’ activities Content I. Warm up (5 mins) - T. asks Ss to give an adjective, T. supplies an adverb and make sentences. - Then T. asks Ss to make sentences from the words: beautiful  beautifully + The photos are beautiful + These sights look beautiful. + The baby sings beautifully. - Which group write more right sentences, will win. II.Presentation (7 mins.) - T. gives some new words. - T. asks Ss to look at the book and tell the grammar. * Brainstorming * New words: - sea creature (n): sinh vật biển = marine - preserve (v): bảo tồn - respiratory problem: vấn đề hô hấp - seriously (adv): nghiêm trọng, trầm trọng - inedible(adj): không ăn được - poisonous (adj.): độc hại * Grammar: • Adjectives and andverbs • Adverb clauses of reason • Adjective + that clause • Conditional sentences: type 1 III. Practice (26 mins) 1. Use the words in brackets. - T. corrects.
