II Introducing and explaining Apple's iPhone X project
The iPhone X is intended to showcase what Apple sees as the technology of the future Uses a glass and stainless steel form factor and a “bezel-less” design, with reduced bezels and no “chin,” unlike many Android phones It was the first iPhone to use an OLED screen
The home button has been replaced by a new type of authentication called Face ID, which uses sensors to scan the user's face to unlock the device This facial recognition capability also allows emojis to be animated according to the user's expressions (Animoji)
With a bezel-less design, iPhone user interaction has changed significantly, using gestures to navigate the operating system instead of the home button used in all previous iPhones At its launch in November 2017, its $999 price tag also made it the most expensive iPhone ever, with even higher prices around the world
Along with the iPhone 6s, Plus variant, and iPhone SE, the iPhone X was discontinued on September 12, 2018 following the announcement of the iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, and iPhone XR devices As a result, with a shelf life of just over 10 months, the iPhone X has the shortest shelf life as the flagship device in the history of the iPhone
iPhone X is still discontinued, but as of February 2019, Apple started selling refurbished
models starting at $769 In December 2019, Apple reduced the price to $599.

III Analyze operations management of supply chain
In fact, to operate a supply chain well, in addition to managing and operating the supply chain, each business must initially conduct research on factors that can impact the supply chain and then build a complete supply chain and develop plans for supply chain implementation as well as prevent impact factors to avoid disrupting the supply chain when put into operation

commitments
- Provide proper inventory levels - Determine launch quantity - Raise orders, make pre-
business activities as well as the impact on business activities for the purpose of building a suitable supply chain
¢ Pre-launch: aims to identify components that have an impact on production and business in order to estimate those factors, thereby minimizing product shortages/surpluses to ensure smooth business operations Profitable and without disruption of the supply chain
¢ Launch: These are activities aimed at solving problems when conducting business as well as the supply chain, including forecasting future demand to make decisions to increase/decrease production as well as forecasting future costs components in the supply chain such as storage, transportation
¢ Quarterly review: These are activities that take place continuously with the purpose of ensuring the safety and convenience of production, business, supply chain activities, etc In addition, it also aims to collect information and parameters to expand and develop in the future
- Apple spends a lot of money on R&D activities to build the world's second-largest data system and continuously updates it to provide timely and accurate research results to help minimize influencing factors impact, thereby helping businesses forecast production, distribution, and survival
Trang 7- In addition to spending heavily on research activities, Apple also invests a lot of effort in establishing an information storage system and building a developed internal information system, this work helps keep information updated Fast updates Faster and faster internal circulation, so that application or development activities will take place quickly to meet faster times, this is something that most business and manufacturing corporations are entitled to guide to development and Apple is one of the leaders in information management development
- Even though it has a development apparatus, Apple still regularly cooperates with experts and builds a training system with experts to be able to evaluate the effectiveness and depth of directions, thereby improving capacity as well as improving knowledge and skills as there are appropriate adjustments

The special and different point of Apple here is that for the same component, Apple will often hire at least 2 to 3 parties to produce it The benefit of this is to help reduce dependence on one partner if there is any discovery However, this production does not pose many dangers, the reason is because Apple is very strict such as: Apple engineers who create specialized production equipment must regularly go to China for inspection, evaluate and improve Apple's hardware and production lines, checklists, and supplier assessments with up to 500 different criteria including labor rights, health, safety, environment, ethics, and management system Suppliers need to ensure they meet Apple's rules and standards, otherwise they will quickly be replaced

Pegatron: a subsidiary later separated from ASUS, focusing on OEM manufacturing of motherboards and components, and 1s also one of the component suppliers for Tesla.Inc Goertek: Goertek Inc is a leading global high-tech company founded in June 2001 focusing on R&D, manufacturing and marketing of high precision components (acoustics, optics, microelectronics, etc.) ) and smart hardware (VR/AR, Wearable., ) Apple's suppliers distribute in many places around the world, with a large concentration in the US, China, Taiwan this is to support distribution activities and have links with other activities manufacture
0 Manufacturing Apple assembles most iPhones in its Zhengzhou factory (China), but components are produced in India, Thailand, the US and many other places Apple's current assembly partner is Foxconn - a Taiwanese electronics company headquartered in Shenzhen but with many factories spread across China, some in India According to New York Times survey data in 2016, the factory in Zhengzhou with more than 350,000 workers is producing the largest number of iPhones in the world This place is known as the "iPhone city" and can install 500,000 devices every day

0 Warehousing After the product is finished, it will be transported to warehouses and distributed in two directions as follows:
For direct distribution activities to customers through websites and online purchases: after the customer places an order, the warehouse will divide the goods to send them to the customer's address
For indirect distribution activities, products will also be stored in specific warehouses Products stored in warehouses will be stored with regular import/export information to assess inventory levels of the product, thereby providing timely distribution policies

« Apple also builds product collection programs to help optimize time and bring high efficiency Some cases collected by Apple are as follows:
« The new product has a defect: when the customer purchases the product and discovers that the defect belongs to the manufacturer, he or she can return it and receive a refund within the specified ttme The customer only needs to go to the dealer or direct distributor to receive a refund support
