Part III: Team needs to present their point of view about how business intelligence tools can contribute to effective decision-making as well as the legal issues involved in exploiting u

Introduction

Business ideas like "Business Processes" and "Supporting Processes" are the main topics of this essay Define unstructured and semi-structured data and provide examples a description of some of the equipment and software used in business intelligence operations Examine the various levels of support offered within a corporation for business decision- making Provide specific examples to support the crucial components of business intelligence capabilities

The report is divided into the two following key sections:

• Systems and operational processes that support company decision-making

• Compare the technologies and tools related to business intelligence capabilities.

Business processes and the mechanisms used to support business decision making

Examine, using examples, the terms 'Business Process' and 'Supporting Processes'

A business process is a series of steps followed by various stakeholders in order to achieve a particular objective A participant is given a task at each stage of a business process Other related ideas like business process management and process automation are built on top of it (Kissflow , 2021)

At least one of the following components, but not just, makes up a business process:

Organizations develop business procedures to aid in achieving their objectives For a company to operate successfully and flourish, business processes must be carried out repeatedly and consistently Business process architectures can be simple or complicated, depending on the elements involved in the process Each business process a corporation uses aims to accomplish specific goals Gaikwad, M (2020)

The business process's seven steps:

• Step 1: Establish your objectives What is the procedure's goal? Why was it made? How will you know if it works?

• Step 2: Plan and lay out your procedure What tactics are required to attain the objectives? This is the overall process roadmap

• Step 3: Determine next steps and assign stakeholders Identify the various tasks that your teams and machines must complete in order to carry out the strategy

• Step 4: Put the procedure to the test Run the procedure on a small scale to observe how well it works Make any necessary modifications

• Step 5: Put the process into action Begin the procedure in a live setting All stakeholders must be properly communicated with and trained

• Step 6: Keep an eye on the results Examine the process and its patterns Record the process history

• Step 7: Repetition If the process meets the objectives established for it, it should be replicated for subsequent processes

Supporting processes work in conjunction with the fundamental processes Hiring production workers could be a supportive action in the manufacturing scenario There could also be actions, alternatives, and subprocesses

Examples of support procedures are:

• Management of buildings and properties, upkeep and cleaning, IT procedures for facility management

• Purchasing and sourcing procedures (supplier selection processes, purchasing services, purchasing materials, sourcing human and financial resources, etc.)

• Operational procedures, everyday activities, and organizational management

• The methods of quality management

• The procedures for corporate governance

In contrast to operational processes, support functions tend to be more standardized across organizations, regardless of industry Due to the involvement of multiple stakeholders, larger organizations exhibit increased organizational hierarchy and complex support systems This complexity stems from factors such as the scale and sophistication of operations, whereas in smaller organizations, individuals often handle multiple support tasks due to limited resources.

Differentiate between unstructured and semi-structured data within an organisation

Structured data refers to information that has been prepared and translated into a clear data model In order to make the raw data easily retrievable and readable using SQL, it is mapped into specified fields A great example of organized data is SQL relational databases, which are composed of tables with rows and columns The relational model of structured data uses memory because it lessens data redundancy

On the other hand, structured data is less flexible and more interconnected Let's examine some further examples of structured data One example is relational data (Marr, B., 2019)

Unstructured data is information that is present just as it is, unaltered Processing this data is difficult due to its complex structure and formatting Unstructured data management can organize information from many different sources, including posts on social media, discussions, satellite pictures, IoT sensor data, emails, and presentations On the other hand, structured data is described as data that follows pre-established data models and is straightforward to analyze Examples of structured data include client names that have been alphabetized and credit card numbers that have been properly organized After defining unstructured data, let's examine some examples of it Among the examples are Word, PDF, Text, and Media logs

Semi-structured data is information that is not stored in a relational database but has some organizational characteristics that make it easier to examine Although it may be challenging for some semi-structured data, some processes can be kept in relational databases, and semi-structured data is nevertheless used to conserve space One illustration is XML data.

Tools and Techniques

Oracle BI

Business intelligence software and technologies for use in organizations is called Oracle BI Customers who use this technology can access almost all business intelligence services, such as dashboards, proactive intelligence, ad hoc reporting, and more Because Oracle is a very resilient system, it is also perfect for enterprises that need to analyze large amounts of data (from both Oracle and non-Oracle sources) Other crucial elements are alerts/notifications, versioning, a self-service portal, and data archiving

Microsoft Power BI

Microsoft Power BI is a comprehensive web-based business analytics tool that empowers users with exceptional data visualization capabilities Its real-time data capabilities enable quick trend identification, while its advanced connections enhance advertising effectiveness Furthermore, Power BI's web-based nature allows seamless accessibility, enabling users to create and share reports, live dashboards, and integrate with various applications effortlessly.

Tableau

Data discovery and visualization are two areas of expertise for the business intelligence program Tableau Without assistance from IT, you may easily analyze, visualize, and communicate data thanks to the software Microsoft Excel, Oracle, MS SQL, Google Analytics, and SalesForce are just a few of the data sources that Tableau can access Dashboards that are well-designed and easy to use will be available to users Tableau offers a variety of standalone solutions as well, such as Tableau Desktop (for everyone) and Tableau Server (analytics for companies), both of which may be run locally, as well as Tableau Online (hosted analytics for organizations) and many more

Simulating scenarios

Based on data from the Covid-19 epidemic, which began to spread on January 30, 2020, I will present my findings in this report Starting on the 17th, Covid-19 began to show After working with Tableeau to analyze data for around two months in November 2019, it felt extremely bad In order to remind us, my goal is to assess the period in 2020 In spite of the infection, treatment has gotten better Yet, Covid-19 continues to pose a serious threat, and I hope that our research will serve as a reminder that we shouldn't be judgmental and dislike this virus My data analysis shows us the danger, therefore we should be careful to avoid repeating the mistakes of the past in the 2020s I will learn primarily about the number of p g p p y deaths in this research to demonstrate the danger that Covid-19 produced in only around 2 months

After entering the data into Tableau, I'll choose three crucial components to be able to demonstrate how risky COVID-19 has been for us I receive information on new cases, deaths, and recoveries I apply the filter to these three components, and each column has a label under it to help you identify it But I also give the names of each component a different color to ensure that there are no errors I placed the data presented in a Label at the top of each component column for simple analysis so that it would be easier to read the data of each component

To compare the index of the number of infection cases, the number of recovery cases, and the number of deaths, I provide a horizontal bar model in Figure 7 Despite the lowest death toll, 5415 individuals died in just 2 months There have to be 11325 more fatalities than during the Ebola outbreak From there, it is clear how severe the Covid-19 outbreak is Thus in 2020 I conducted data analysis

To determine which components have the highest metric, I'm not utilizing the horizontal bars graphic I utilize it since it hasn't been able to keep up with the other two components, making it impossible to show everyone the COVID-19's quick spread, the number of fatalities, and the pace of recovery and cure In order to demonstrate how deadly COVID-19 is in the early phases of transmission, I wanted to use the Horizontal Bars graphic

I created a table in Figure 8 with precise facts regarding global mortality I've based the statistical table on color to the right in order to be able to distinguish between the data from each country

By assigning different colors to countries based on their death tolls and representing these colors on a map, I was able to visualize the geographical distribution of deaths The size of the circles on the map reflects the severity of the death toll in each country, with larger circles indicating a higher number of fatalities Additionally, a data table was created to provide further information, indicating the country associated with each color.

To illustrate the relationship between the number of deaths and the number of illnesses, I utilized scatter plots in figure 10 From that, it can be observed that COVID-19 is a very hazardous virus, and that there is a great likelihood that an infection will result in death Also, it is clear from utilizing the Trend Line that we may anticipate an increase in the number of illnesses and fatalities in the 2020s From there, we may anticipate that their growth will continue to accelerate We can actually see that the prognosis of the number of infections and the number of deaths was accurate after going through this process

I compare the number of infected cases with the number of fatalities using scatter plots in Figure 10 Symol Maps and Scatter Plots can see the country with the most fatalities from the Horizontal Bars model Scatter Plots can also be used to determine which infections have occurred most frequently in the United States Moreover, it is feasible to notice an increase in infection and mortality in this model And we already knew because we went through that dreadful moment ourselves

In summary, I utilize scatter plots to determine the relationship between the number of infections and deaths demonstrates how deadly COVID-19 is and may forecast an increase in infection and fatality risk starting in 2020

My data shows that there is no alleviation as both the number of infection cases and the number of fatalities keep rising If we can forecast an increase in deaths across all pandemics that have emerged globally over that time Even while there has been a decline in the Covid-19 epidemic, if this decrease has returned to growth like it did in 2020 to 2022, I believe we cannot resist I also didn't anticipate a situation like 2020 to occur again, but Covid-19 is consistently turning heads while Vaccien is still only a short-term solution We could sense Covid-19's potential for harm and its ability to serve as a safe haven I therefore urge everyone to continue to prevent using the Ministry of Health's policies Also, it is feasible to show that the historical data is still useful and can be analyzed and applied in a variety of ways
