science and technology, people gradually keep distance with nature It can be seen that it is the worship of people that has caused Mother Nature to rise up with rage such as storms, floods, forest fires, droughts, We are constantly harming nature, causing water pollution, forest fires to increase, floods that cause loss of life and property The world has been trying to repair that damage However, the only way to reduce all natural disasters is to live peacefully and protect nature To that, we need to promote educating students to love nature, only by loving, preserving and protecting nature can we really live in harmony with nature and thereby minimize all natural disasters If we overuse resources without knowing how to reforest, use scientific water, we will live in a polluted environment and we will suffer the consequences of that pollution Promoting the love for nature plays a very important role for primary school students because this is an important period to form values, skills and attitudes about nature, environment and nature protection Helps develop observation and analysis: Education about nature helps elementary students develop the ability to observe and analyze natural phenomena They can learn about plants and animals, their growth and development processes This helps students better understand the relationship between people and nature, thereby making appropriate decisions to protect the environment Strengthens mental and physical health: Exposure to nature helps primary school students improve their mental and physical health Playing and living in the open space helps them reduce stress and improve their mood In addition, activities such as planting trees, taking care of the garden, and exercising outdoors also help to enhance the physical health of students Help students understand and care about environmental protection: Education about nature helps primary school students understand the importance of environmental protection They will better understand the impact of human activities on the environment, thereby forming a responsible attitude and contributing to the protection and sustainable development of the environment Currently, promoting the love for nature in general and primary school students in particular has not been paid enough attention Education about nature for primary school students is facing many challenges and needs special attention In today's technologically advanced era, primary school students often spend a lot of time on computers, mobile phones and other electronic devices This has made them less time to explore, learn and experience with nature In addition, with the development of urbanization, people's living space becomes more and more limited, causing difficulties in accessing nature This has prevented many primary school students from being able to recognize, appreciate and understand important natural values, affecting their thinking and vision of the world around them With the topic "A study on how to promote primary school students’ love for nature via the topic “plants and animals” in grade nature and society”, I think that this is a very valuable and necessary topic in this era Currently The promotion of love for nature will help students have basic knowledge about plants and animals, thereby helping them to take actions to protect the environment around them Moreover, it helps students to have knowledge about the environment, especially about plants and animals This not only helps students better understand the diversity and beauty of nature, but also helps them develop values such as respect, love and protection of the environment Especially, for grade students, this is a very important time to create curiosity and eager to learn about the world around I hope that choosing this topic will help students have the opportunity to have access to valuable educational knowledge and experiences, thereby helping them to grow up and be able to contribute to build a sustainable and peaceful community Research purpose Proposing active teaching methods in grade Nature and Society to promote primary school students’ love for nature Research Assessment Result of teacher survey Based on the Evaluation, it can be inferred that all teachers believe that active teaching methods generate an animated classroom atmosphere These methods stimulate student engagement and pique their curiosity towards the subject matter Appropriate teaching methods are logically selected for each activity to help students thoroughly grasp the knowledge presented in that particular topic 71 Activities such as group discussions, in “form new knowledge” occurs through student exchanging their ideas and knowledge, supported by their teachers, enable students to acquire new insights and deepen their understanding In addition, the survey findings suggest that these teaching plans contribute to promoting students' love for nature By means of integrated teaching, students are able to express their emotions, exhibit their attitudes, distinguish between acceptable and unacceptable behaviors with regards to nature, and promote a more positive relationship with the environment Result of student survey Content Result Percentage Theoretical knowledge 70 100% Applied knowledge 66 94% 68 97% 70 100% Remembering the lesson for a longer period Promoting students’ love for nature Through the Evaluation, I studied that all students understood the theoretical knowledge presented in the two lessons, and displayed relatively good application skills by choosing the most appropriate methods Some students choose different approaches, but all of them demonstrated a love for and sense of responsibility towards protecting the environment Additionally, 97% of students 72 indicated that they remembered these lessons better compared to others, demonstrating the positive effect of appropriate active teaching methods on student comprehension and engagement Moreover, 100% of students expressed an increased appreciation for nature, exhibiting a curiosity and desire to explore and learn more about the natural world Their perception towards the subject, Nature and Society is no longer limited or neglected, instead each lesson is considered an opportunity to explore and appreciate nature Conclusion of Chapter To achieve effective teaching and learning outcomes in Nature and Society, teachers need to employ various active teaching methods and the crosssubject integrated teaching method during the same lesson to cater to the diverse learning styles and abilities of primary school students Using appropriate methods that are suitable for each activity will help students to better understand the lessons I conducted experiments using the proposed teaching methods in class 2A2 and observed that the students' perceptions towards Nature and Society had changed; they had developed a greater love for this subject and were eager to explore and satisfy their curiosity about nature 73 CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION Conclusion Firstly, the study explored various theoretical bases related to fostering a love for nature via the topic Plants and Animals, as well as the psychological characteristics of primary school students The study found that the primary school stage is the most suitable period to promote students' love for nature via grade Nature and Society Secondly, during my research, I studied that current primary school students have not been effectively taught to promote the love for nature, resulting in their lack of interest in nature and their greater attraction towards technology Additionally, many students perceive Nature and Society as rigid and unimportant subject Thirdly, I proposed suitable teaching methods to effectively teach grade Nature and Society, with the goal of helping students learn this subject more efficiently Finally, after experimenting the proposed methods, I observed that the students became more interested and curious about nature More importantly, the appropriate teaching methods helped to change their perceptions and attitude The students who were previously indifferent to nature became more sensitive and had a desire to protect the environment I applied various teaching methods to help students promote the love for nature via Nature and Society During the teaching process, I studied that the Integrated teaching method, such as integrating the topic Plants and Animals with Music, Vietnamese, and Ethics, helped to increase students' curiosity and interest in nature Moreover, the application of observation, discussion, question and answer, practical, and role 74 play methods helped students to have a deeper understanding of concepts and events in natural and social sciences Teachers who implemented these teaching methods also found that the classes were more effective, and the students were more engaged and developed a greater love for nature through the activities In addition, to promote students’ love for nature in Nature and Society, it is necessary to create conducive conditions and environments for them to learn and explore Designing activities and lessons that are appropriate for the students' age is crucial Moreover, using appropriate educational material such as books, lectures, videos, and games can help students become more interested and absorb knowledge more easily Teachers who desire to help students enhance their love for nature need to regularly upgrade their pedagogical skills and use interactive teaching methods in their lessons This will help students explore and stimulate their curiosity towards the world of plants and animals, and demonstrate their emotions towards the environment, motivating them to protect it With the combined efforts of teachers and students, I believe that we can create a generation of youth who love nature, are concerned about the environment, and are willing to contribute to sustainable development of society 75 Recommendation From the research, I have some recommendations as follow: During the process of teaching Nature and Society, teacher ought to: Use active learning methods and integrated teaching Instead of just imparting knowledge, teachers should create opportunities for students to participate in practical activities and experiences in nature, to help them connect with nature and achieve better learning outcomes Use diverse resources Teachers can use rich materials such as pictures, videos, and teaching aids to convey knowledge In addition, teachers can arrange extracurricular activities such as visiting natural sites, zoos, and aquariums to provide experiential learning opportunities, helping students to promote their love for nature Encourage students to ask, discuss, and share opinions: Students should be encouraged to ask and discuss issues related to the subject, share their opinions, and critique each other constructively This helps students feel respected and contribute to the learning process, which creates a sense of love and passion for the subject In the process of questioning and discussing about the world of living species, and finding answers together, students’ knowledge about that species will be deeper and they will gain more confidence in exploring and being curious about the natural world around them In order to achieve this, teachers need to constantly innovate themselves They should study and update their knowledge, apply active teaching methods that are suitable for each activity in the class 76 Utilize resources and environment around us: Teachers should use natural resources and the surrounding environment to create a learning space for students to experience, allowing them to understand the natural environment in their local area and promote their curiosity about nature Encourage students to participate in extracurricular activities related to their subject: Teachers can organize extracurricular activities such as summer camps, visits to ecological sites, plants and animals, … to help students better understand the various aspects of nature and society 77 BIBLIOGRAPHY [1] R Louv, Vitamin N: The Essential Guide to a Nature - Rich life, New York: Atlantic Book, 2016 [2] N T M Ngọc, Hít Hà Mùi Đất Nước, Hà Nội: Nhà xuất Hà Nôi, 2021 [3] P N B
