a diaphragm of 50 cm² and a volume increase of 100 cm³/min shall be used c This property shall be determined for flat woven fabrics, knitted fabrics (without pile), uncut pile fabrics and nonwovens; the standard wool abradant (as described in EN ISO 12947-1) shall be used and the performance level shall be determined after 2000 rubs, but the test shall be continued to 5000 rubs and the rating (on the scale of to 5) at that point shall also be reported The test result at 5000 rubs is purely informative d e An allowance of 0,5 scale point is made for light colours Method may be used for quality control purposes 标准分享网 www.bzfxw.com 免费下载 EN 14465:2003 (E) Annex B (informative) Determination of the colour fastness to water spotting B.1 General This annex is based on the Swedish Standard SS 25 12 50 It describes a method for determination of the resistance of an upholstery fabric’s colour to water spotting or staining when limited areas of the fabric are exposed to water B.2 Apparatus and reagents B.2.1 Apparatus The cylindrical tube is constructed of glass or transparent plastic; the base rim of the tube is smooth The tube has an inside diameter of (94 ± 2) mm, a wall thickness of (3 ± 0,5) mm and an approximate height of 50 mm B.2.2 Load ring The load ring should be able to rest on top of the cylinder The combined weight of the ring and the cylindrical tube should be (1,9 ± 0,1) kg B.2.3 Polyurethane pad The pad consists of undyed polyurethane with open pores The pad has an approximate density of 30 kg/m³ and an approximate thickness of 30 mm Size minimum 500 mm x 500 mm B.2.4 Plastic film Undyed plastic film of polyethylene, size minimum 500 mm x 500 mm B.2.5 Dyeing rack The dyeing rack is fashioned of stainless or plastic coated metal netting with a mesh width of about mm The edges of the netting are folded downwards at a 90° angle to the netting surface, so that the netting is raised up approximately 20 mm from the surface on which the netting rests B.2.6 Colour scales Grey scales should be in accordance with those described in EN 20105-A02 and EN 20105-A03 B.2.7 Deionized or distilled water (50 ± 2) °C Grade water (see EN ISO 105-A01:1995, clause 8.1) 16 EN 14465:2003 (E) B.3 Test specimens A specimen measuring at least 500 mm x 500 mm is taken from the test fabric If all the colours in the fabric not appear within a 70 cm² circular area, diameter approximately 10 cm, enough specimens should be cut and tested so that all the product’s colours are represented Specimens should be cut so the colour appears in the centre of the specimen Before testing, specimens should be carefully brushed or vacuum cleaned of all foreign particles and fibres and conditioned in a standard atmosphere according to EN 20139 B.4 Procedure The test is performed at the standard test conditions specified in EN 20139 The polyurethane pad is placed on a flat surface and a test specimen is placed on the pad The cylindrical tube is positioned in the centre of the test specimen and then the load ring is placed on the tube as shown in Figure B.1 During a period of 10 s to 20 s, (35 ± 2) ml water is poured on to the area of the test specimen enclosed by the cylindrical tube When the water has been absorbed the load ring and cylinder are removed If the water is not absorbed within 30 min, the water is carefully removed by means of a water suction appliance The test specimen can remain on the polyurethane pad for The specimen and the polyurethane pad are placed on the drying rack The surface of a pile material can be restored by carefully brushing the fabric surface, while it is still damp The items are allowed to dry in room temperature until the specimen is dry B.5 Assessment Colour change is evaluated using the grey scale described in EN 20105-A02 Any visible difference between areas affected by water and unaffected areas is evaluated Both colour changes and effects on the specimen’s structure and gloss, e.g entwining of surface yarns are assessed If colour appears to have run on to a white or lighter area, the grey scale described in EN 20105-A03 is used in evaluation If applicable the product’s colours are individually assessed B.6 Test report The test report should include the following information: a) reference to this test method; b) all details necessary for the identification of the material; c) date of the test; d) average value of colour change, expressed in terms of a colour scale rating (if applicable a value is reported for each colour); e) any staining onto white or lighter areas, expressed in terms of a staining scale rating; 17 标准分享网 www.bzfxw.com 免费下载 EN 14465:2003 (E) f) notations of any other changes in the fabric’s appearance; g) if the water has not been absorbed after 30 and had to be removed; h) any deviations from this standard procedure 18
