Your Performance Location ANDERSON CENTER OSTERHOUT CONCERT THEATER at Binghamton University, State University of New York Binghamton, New York Directions: From Route 17, take Exit 70 South and proceed on Route 201, left lane Turn into Route 434 East (Vestal Parkway) and, very quickly, turn right into the SUNY campus Follow signs to Parking Lot C When using a GPS system, use 4400 Vestal Parkway, Vestal, NY 13850 to search Do not search under Binghamton University Any questions or special requests should be addressed to House Operations You may send an email to artscorp@binghamton.edu or call (607) 777-2908 GUIDELINES FOR PATRONS ARRIVING BY BUS  Plan to arrive at the Anderson Center no later than 9:45 AM (for a 10:00 a.m performance) so we can seat your group before the performance starts Performances start promptly  Buses should go to Lot C At the entrance to the Lot they will be met by University Police The buses will then proceed up to the circle in front of the Anderson Center Box Office Teachers and students will remain on the bus until directed to get off There is a sidewalk in front of the box office – The group will remain on the bus until the bus is at the sidewalk No one should get off the bus while it is in the parking lot Once the bus in empty, University police will direct the bus drivers to parking in Lot C GUIDELINES FOR PATRONS ARRIVING BY CAR  The University requires that all vehicles parked on campus weekdays must be registered or pay by the hour/day to park You may park in one of the paved lots or the parking garage To park in a lot stop at the information booth and purchase a daily pass before proceeding to a lot The other option is the parking garage You will be charged an hourly rate at the garage which may be less expensive The garage is also closer to the Anderson Center  The show is in the Concert Theater You may enter the building at either the box office or deck entrance When parking in the garage walk across Lot D: the deck entrance will be to your left; the box office entrance up the outside stairs NOTE: Because of the number of busses that typically attend a performance, and safety issues involved with having the students walk between the busses, cars cannot park in Lot C For more information, please call (607) 777-2908 Let the Anderson Center know in advance if you have people attending that will require extra assistance Any questions or special requests should be addressed to House Operations You may send an email to artscorp@binghamton.edu or call 777-2908 PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR CONTINUED DIRECTIONS AND MAP TEACHERS WE NEED YOUR HELP! In order to make the theatrical experience as pleasurable as possible for your group and all others in attendance, we ask that you review the following with your colleagues, chaperones, and students at least one day before your trip! Plan to arrive at the Anderson Center no later than 9:45 A.M for a 10 a.m performance, and 11:45 a.m for a noon performance Performances start promptly Doors open approximately 30 minutes before curtain time Please inform your students that: (a) NO REFRESHMENTS OF ANY KIND (including sandwiches, candy bars, potato chips, lifesavers, and especially GUM) are permitted in the theatre (b) NO CAMERAS or recording equipment of any kind are permitted inside the theatre If a camera is brought in and you see a flash go off, immediately instruct the pupil to put the camera away Please make it your and your chaperones' responsibility to ensure that your children are on their best behavior (a) For many students, this performance will be their first experience with live theatre They must know that, unlike movies and television, live performers are not able to "turn up the sound." Therefore, audience members must not talk during the performance and should wait until after the show to discuss or comment about it Also, no running, shouting or whistling at any time before, during, or after the show Ushers may ask chaperones to remove disruptive children (b) The performance lasts approximately one hour and restroom and drinking fountain privileges during that time must be reserved for absolute emergencies only (and then, as always, children must be accompanied by an adult) House Operations will seat groups in the theater front to back as they arrive Once everyone in your group has a seat teachers may move students as needed Follow the instructions of the house staff at all times PLEASE make sure that your children fill every seat, not leaving any empties between them THANK YOU FOR YOUR COOPERATION
