2020 Fall Virtual Meeting First Week: October and Second Week: October 13, 14 and 15 Chairman’s Message “Welcome to the first ever IFI virtual conference” – these are words I would not have expected to ever say just six months ago I am very glad we were able to get together in-person and have a great meeting this past Spring in Clearwater Cyndi and I are going to miss seeing you all in-person Kevin Johnson this Fall, and we look forward to a time when we can shake hands and spend time together very soon Despite the obvious challenges of networking during an online conference, I’m very excited about this format reviewing and approving our brand new 2021-25 strategic plan and the 2021 budget We have lined up some terrific business relevant speakers, such as Dr Kevin Elko, who will inspire us to “get back in the game” We will also hear from Stacey Schroeder and Lisa Ryan about training and upskilling your staff, and keeping them engaged as we emerge from the pandemic We’re especially pleased to introduce Alex Chausovsky of ITR Economics who will provide an industry economic outlook We have even added a special executive session on Wednesday, October 14th with Lee Resnick, who is an expert at succession planning – something company owners are going to want to tune into First, taking our meeting online at this time is simply the safest thing to Second, it saves the travel expense during a difficult economic time for everyone And third (and most importantly), it provides an excellent opportunity for folks that have never attended an IFI event to experience what we’re all about To help you take advantage of this opportunity, we’re very pleased to offer this online event free of charge for any IFI member company employee That means you should invite multiple folks from your company to participate We have many different presentations spread out over a two-week period that should provide something for everyone As I said, I’m really excited about the opportunities this virtual conference will bring to all IFI’s members Despite the convenience of a virtual event like this, moving forward, we are still working toward getting back to live, in-person meetings We all know it is this personal interaction, networking and camaraderie of our peers that makes IFI special We intend to carry that most important aspect forward as soon as it is safe to so We’re looking forward to our Spring 2021 meeting in Scottsdale to get things back on track Until then, I look forward to “seeing” you all at our virtual conference!
