I would like to serve as a Sewanee Board of Trustee member for the Diocese of Florida to provide voice and insight to issues and opportunities in higher education Currently I serve as a project director for an educational focused program in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) that involves 14 institutions of higher education, funded by the National Science Foundation In my capacity, I fully engage with senior level administrators, faculty, and students and I will bring this wealth of experience to the Sewanee Board As a Trustee of Sewanee, I will seek to advance the richness and diversity of our university while working to enhance and sustain the spiritual, liturgical, and leadership of the Episcopal Church, through Sewanee, as a catalyst to better address the needs of our greater society with graduates that have a foundation steeped in a deep and everlasting relationship with God Molly Pina Bio: Molly lives in Jacksonville, Florida after being born and raised there and attending Episcopal High School in the 1980s She graduated from The University of the South in 1992, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Religion While she was there, she was a member of Theta Pi sorority and the Red Ribbon club She is currently the Parish Administrator at All Saints Episcopal Church in Jacksonville, Florida Why would you like to serve? The University of the South has always been a magical place to me and my family Both my husband and oldest son graduated from Sewanee; therefore the ties to The Mountain run very deep I will always have the University's best interests at heart, along with the students and alumni I believe my occupation and Episcopal background will enable me to serve the Board of Trustees in a positive way
