AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT This Amendment to Agreement (“Amendment”), which is entered into by and between The University of Rhode Island (“University”) and the Kingston Fire District (“Fire District”) on the date it is last signed by the parties below, is intended to amend, and to extend the term of, the “Agreement Between The Kingston Fire District and The University of Rhode Island” previously entered into by the parties, with an effective date of July 1, 2019 (the “Agreement”) Whereas, the Agreement is due to expire on June 30,2021, but the parties wish to extend the term of the agreement for one (1) additional year, subject to the terms of this Amendment; and Whereas, the parties also wish to make certain minor changes to the Agreement, as specified herein; Now therefore the parties agree as follows: The Agreement shall be extended for an additional one-year period (the “One Year Extension Period”), from July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2022 In recognition of the fact, effective January 25, 2020, pursuant to the provisions of R.I.G.L.c 16-32-2, the governing board of the University of Rhode Island was changed from the “Rhode Island Council on Postsecondary Education” to the “University of Rhode Island Board of Trustees,” all references in Sections 2(F) and 2(G) of the Agreement to the “Rhode Island Council on Postsecondary Education” shall be changed to ““University of Rhode Island Board of Trustees.” In addition, the Fire District” shall promptly name the “University of Rhode Island Board of Trustees” as an additional insured on its applicable insurance policies under Section 2(F) The “annual funding” to be paid to the Fire District, under the terms of Section 3(G) of the Agreement, for the additional One Year Extension Period shall be $509,779.00 All other terms and conditions of the Agreement shall remain the same The foregoing is agreed to by the parties, as evidenced by the signatures of their duly authorized officials appearing below The University of Rhode Island By: Name: Title: Date: The Kingston Fire District By: Name: Title: Date:
