GPS, Total Stations, and levels We also use Allegro data collectors with SMI Baseline Contractors Inc * PO Box 434 * Shelley, ID 83274 * baselinecon.inc@live.com Jim Patchin PLS (208)-521-7332 Mark Hudson (208)-521-7331 survey software, personal computers with a variety of survey based, office and accounting software such as AUTOCAD and QuickBooks Our Mission To honor our commitments to our clients and employees, and to help our clients develop, build & maintain quality projects Work Approach The safety of our personnel is our first concern Able leadership and Team accountability is our duty Having completed a wide variety of construction and land survey projects, Baseline’s staff has extensive experience in the process and procedures required to complete an assignment accurately, efficiently, and within budget Specific steps we take to ensure these concerns are addressed include: • • • • • • • • Provide a highly qualified Survey crew/crews and Project Manager to execute the scope of work required Active communication with all levels of our customers Management & Design team to clearly define our scope of work and to ensure that all aspects of our Survey/Design Services are promptly addressed prior to, during, and after the various phases of a project All field notes are copied, and any raw data collected is downloaded and backed up electronically, daily Develop a clear understanding of both the scope of the project and the individual tasks within the scope to help eliminate incomplete and incorrect tasks, procedures and redundancies Invoicing and cost accounting are done with software by our Administrative Services department Create a Project Quality Control Plan for all of the above concerns Time cards and journals are filled out daily to ensure that we are working within the budget and the scope of work for a project Every project is done under the responsible charge of a Professionally Licensed Land Surveyor Baseline Contractors Inc * PO Box 434 * Shelley, ID 83274 * baselinecon.inc@live.com Jim Patchin PLS (208)-521-7332 Mark Hudson (208)-521-7331 The policies we utilize to perform our work include the application of; Common Survey Practices, our Quality Control procedures, State law pertaining to the Profession of Land Surveying, and a clear understanding of job specific requirements and plans Introducing the Baseline Team Jim Patchin, PLS (Idaho #13766) - President/Co-owner As a Principle partner, Jim co-manages all aspects of the day to day operations of the firm In the spring of 2009 Jim became a Licensed Professional Land Surveyor in the State of Idaho and co-founded Baseline Contractors, Inc For the previous 13 years, Jim worked for Mountain River Engineering (MRE) in Idaho Falls, Idaho His last 11 years at MRE, he held the position of Survey Crew Chief of a two or three man survey team, on many different projects Some examples of these projects are; highway and road construction, commercial and industrial site plans, subdivision plats and improvements, and various boundary and topographic surveys Projects of note were: ITD District 6, County Line Road/ US Highway 20 Overpass- Rigby, ID; Civil Design, Plan Review, onsite Field Inspection and Testing Acceptance, and served as Clients representative for Contract related records and documents for job specification compliance Gary’s many years of experience in the industry has given him a complete knowledge of all aspects of Commercial, Private and Public Works development, from beginning to end His attention to detail, commitment to quality and impeccable reputation, makes Gary a very valued and welcome member of the Baseline Team Monica Johnson - Senior Designer/Drafter/Team Member As a Senior Designer with over 21 years of experience in eastern Idaho, Monica has an extensive background in the Civil Design/Drafting field She has been responsible for assisting engineers with the civil design of highway plans for the Transportation Departments of both Idaho and Montana (Utility, Right-ofway, Ownership maps, Construction plans and Bridge projects), as well as calculating earthwork quantities, construction support for Survey crews and estimating for other constructions projects in the private field Some of Monica’s projects of note were: Pancheri Rd., I-15 to the Snake River Bridge (Idaho Falls, ID), & served as the design/drafter on this project This included many relocations and property purchases by the state in order to construct this mutli-million dollar project Also the relocation of many utilities was required Her responsibilities were to contact utility companies and submit utility relocation plans The coordination of the relocation of these utilities was crucial in order to not delay construction schedules She personally drafted the final product Snake River Landing (Idaho Falls, ID) Monica served as the QA design drafter for this 300+acre mutli-use land development She was responsible for checking original design drawings (by others), matching it to the existing plat, making sure that the coordinates given match the local coordinate system used for layout by the survey crews ICDF Landfill Facility (Idaho National Labs) Served as drafting support to the survey crews for coordinated generation, quantity calculations, and drafting of as-build drawings With her broad experience of design drafting in our local private, commercial, industrial and nuclear community, we feel Monica is a great asset to our Baseline team Fred Wallin, PE (Idaho #6269) – Team Member/ Consulting Civil Engineer In 1982, Fred graduated from the University of Utah, with a B.S Civil Engineering As a Civil Engineer with 28 years of experience in eastern Idaho, Fred has accrued a vast knowledge of Baseline Contractors Inc * PO Box 434 * Shelley, ID 83274 * baselinecon.inc@live.com Jim Patchin PLS (208)-521-7332 Mark Hudson (208)-521-7331 practical Civil Engineering situations He has been a Registered Professional Engineer with the State of Idaho since February 1990 Fred has been involved with a wide range of land development projects, both public and private, and has served as Project Manager for many of these As Project Manager, Fred was responsible for design, layout, quantity calculation & inspection for many city, county, & state projects As Staf Engineer for the Idaho Transportation Department, Fred was a Contract Administrator for consultant design and supervised designers for production of construction documents Projects of note were: 1989-1991 the $50M Anheuser Busch malting plant in Idaho Falls, Field Engineer, responsible for monitoring equipment deliveries, layout, design/detail drawings, quality control and ordering structural & reinforcing steel; 2004-2008 Snake River Landing, a 300+ acre multiuse land development in Idaho Falls, Consulting Professional Engineer, responsible for design inspection, new design, earthwork quantities and quality assurance;
