START OF CLASS Come into the classroom and sit in your assigned seat Read the WEEKLY LESSON PLAN SCHEDULE The weekly schedule is located in front of the room END OF CLASS Keep our classroom clean and safe Remain at your assigned seat until you are dismissed INDIVIDUAL WORK Students will work without talking during individual work time Students are expected to their own work Academic dishonesty will result in a zero grade for that assignment/activity GROUP WORK Make sure that all instructions are heard and followed Be respectful of our neighbors QUIET talking is allowed during group work EATING AND DRINKING IN THE CLASSROOM Treats given to you in other classes must be completely eaten before you enter the classroom or saved until later Treats given to you in Spanish class must be completely finished before the bell rings You will not be allowed to leave the room with food LEAVING THE CLASSROOM DURING CLASS Students will be permitted to leave the classroom to get a drink or use the restroom at the beginning or end of the class period, but only when time allows Only one student will leave the classroom at a time If you feel sick and not have time to ask permission, go straight to the restroom! TALKING AND ASKING QUESTIONS Raise your hand to speak Wait to be called upon Never interrupt someone while they are speaking Quiet talking is allowed during group work ABSENCES If a student is absent, they will be given ample time to make up their work If you know your child will be absent, please send a note ahead of time SUBSTITUTE TEACHER All class/school rules will be enforced when a substitute teacher is here Any infraction of the rules when a substitute teacher is in charge will result in a disciplinary notice with the School Principal and parents will be notified MATERIALS NEEDED FOR CLASS WHAT DO WE NEED TO BRING TO CLASS EACH DAY?
