delivers an interprofessional learning experience for more than 3000 students across two universities including five faculties and twelve professions with Hampshire and the Isle of Wight health and social care providers The post holder will be responsible for re-visioning the Common Learning Programme through consultation with relevant stakeholders Key Accountabilities/Primary Responsibilities % Time • Collaborate effectively with stakeholders to review current IPE provision to inform decisions regarding the future delivery of the Common Learning Programme • Establish networks and partnerships in order to develop a modern, innovative, flexible and sustainable approach to IPE, which will equip health and social care graduates with relevant IP skills for the benefit of service users • Carry out a scoping exercise to underpin IPE curriculum developments, evaluating current practices in this field nationally and internationally; exploring the changing patterns of commissioning and delivery of health and social care • Ensure IPE curriculum pilot programme reflects contemporary best practice in this field, is informed by published IPE literature, and utilises appropriate resources e.g technology enhanced learning, information from the Centre for the Advancement of Interprofessional Education (CAIPE) and ready to be delivered in 2013-14 • Ensure that IPE is developed with strong governance arrangements and complies with internal and external regulatory and quality assurance requirements and is deliverable within resource constraints • Lead and deliver an IPE staff development and training programme in preparation to launch a revised Common Learning Programme in 2013-2014 • Work with stakeholders to develop an evaluation strategy for the re-visioned Common Learning Programme to explore students’ interprofessional learning experiences, and the impact of their learning experiences on service users in practice settings • To review, cost and make recommendations to modernise the Common Learning website, overseeing the implementation of its replacement using technological developments that will support the revised programme • Work with the Strategic Lead for Interprofessional Education to develop the project plan, reporting progress to the Common Learning Management Board (as an ex-officio member) and ensuring effective engagement with all stakeholders Work with Strategic Lead for Interprofessional Education and CLMB to conduct scholarly work, promoting curriculum developments and evaluative investigations via publications and conference presentations This will raise the profile of IPE developments at the Universities of Southampton and Portsmouth, and local partners in Health and Social Care, nationally and internationally • On conclusion of the re-visioning project, provide a project report that includes a year financial forecast and makes future recommendations, ensuring the sustainability and cost effectiveness of
