http://www.company.pt Abstract: This document contains all the information and instructions necessary for writing the articles, to be published in the Proceedings of the Conference CONSOLFOOD 2018 which will be held in Faro, Portugal, on 22-24 January 2018 The first page should contain: the article title, the authors’ names and respective institutions / companies, abstract and keywords (maximum 5) This page will be printed in the book of abstracts and cannot exceed the size of one page Abstract must be submitted Keywords: Maximum 5, Instructions, Solar, Thermal, Food processing First A Author, Second B Author and Third C Author INTRODUCTION The Conference Proceedings will be published in PDF format Papers supporting posters or oral communications should be submitted electronically according to the announced deadlines Each paper should have between and pages and be written in English, according to the formatting instructions in this template The final version, after revision according to the reviewers’ comments, should be submitted in PDF format, as well as in MS Word format (to enable editors to perform slight format adjustments) At least one of the authors has to be registered for the paper to be included in the program GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS The paper should be written in English The text area is to be centered on each page, having an area of 16 x 21 cm The text with the figures, tables and list of references should have an extension of to pages Submitted files can not exceed Mb TITLE, AUTHORS, INSTITUTIONS AND KEYWORDS The first page should contain the title, authors and their affiliations, the abstract and the keywords The following section should start on the second page and follow the recommended format 3.1 Title The title should be in Times New Roman, size of 14 pt, bold, capital letters and centered, with single line spacing 3.2 Authors Author should be identified by the full first and last names and no more than one initial (see the beginning of this document) Names must be in Times New Roman, 12 pt, bold, 12 pt below the title The corresponding author should be identified with an asterisk (*) 3.3 Affiliation The institution / company of each author should be in Times New Roman, 11 pt, 12 pt below the list of authors There should be 12 pt line spacing between different institutions 3.4 Abstract The paper should contain a summary of the work, in Times New Roman, 12 pt, italic The word “Abstract” in the first line should be in bold, normal style (not italics) The text should be justified and 12 pt below the last line of the authors’ Affiliation, as illustrated on the first page of these instructions 3.5 Keywords The limit is of five keywords They should be aligned to the left and written in Times New Roman 11 pt The first line must start with 'Keywords', in bold, 12 pt below the last line of the Abstract The Keywords must not extend beyond the first page of the paper, which will be used for the book of abstracts HEADINGS First A Author, Second B Author and Third C Author 4.1 Main headings Main headings should be justified left and written in Times New Roman 11 pt, bold, capital letters The line spacing should be 12 pt before and pt after each title 4.2 Sub-heading Sub-headings should be justified left and written in Times New Roman 11 pt, bold, capitalized letter in the first word The line spacing should be 12 pt before and pt after each title HEADER As shown in this template, the first page has a header identifying the Conference, and the header from the remaining pages consists of the authors’ names Editors will add these headers if necessary Note that these headers are outside the main text area (see Figure 1) TEXT The text will be written in Times New Roman, 11 pt, single spacing, justified and in a single column Any extra space between paragraphs should not be used NUMBER OF PAGES The papers will be referenced in the Proceedings by authors’ name, title and thematic area Thus, the page numbering is not essential but recommended to better organize the article The page numbers should be in Times New Roman, 11 pt, centered and at the bottom of the page, outside the main text area FIGURES All figures must be numbered consecutively and identified by its caption Figure captions should be in Times New Roman, 10 pt, centered There should be a space of pt between each figure and its caption, and a 12 pt space between the main text and the top of the figure, as well as between the last line of the caption and the following text Figures should be located in the text First A Author, Second B Author and Third C Author Figure Sketch of the first and the following pages EQUATIONS Equations should be numbered with numerals in parentheses Equations should be centered and separated from the text with a space of pt before and after The following example is a single-line equation: Ax b (1) The following example is an aligned group of equations: Ax b Ay c (2) 10 TABLES All tables should be numbered consecutively and identified with the respective caption, centered and written in Times New Roman, 10 pt Table Presentation of a sample table C11 C21 C31 C41 C12 C22 C32 C42 REFERENCES References should be cited in the text using numbers in square brackets [1], [2], [3] They should be listed at the end of the paper, numbered in the order they were cited in the text 12 CONCLUSIONS The paper should have a final section containing some conclusions and key findings obtained with the work to be presented at the Congress  Papers should take 5-8 pages, written in English, according to the formatting instructions in this document  A version in Portable Document Format (PDF) should be created  Papers should be submitted in PDF format to the organization committee  Authors of accepted papers will receive a notification of acceptance  The final version of accepted papers, which should include reviewers' comments, should be submitted in MS Word format and in PDF format  For the paper to be included in the Conference program, there must be at least one registered and paid author Each registered author may submit up to two papers  Authors will be
