UNIT 9: FESTIVALS AROUND THE WORLD Lesson 5: Skills I OBJECTIVES By the end of this lesson, Ss will be able to gain: Knowledge: - Develop reading skill about an unusual festival - Develop speaking skill: talking about a festival they enjoy Competence: - Develop communication skills and creativity - Be collaborative and supportive in pair work and teamwork - Develop presentation skill - Actively join in class activities Qualities - Communication, self-learning capability, creative capacity, ability to use of language…… - Speaking and reading to get information about the festivals II TEACHING AIDS Teacher: Text books, pictures, planning, … - Grade textbook, Unit 9, Skills - Smart TV/Pictures, sets of word cards - sachmem.vn Students: Text books, notebooks, posters, … III PROCEDURES: 1.Warm-up (5’) * Aim: - To introduce the topic of reading - To enhance students’ skills of cooperating with team mates * Content: Game: Who is faster?
