ABSTRACT As the demand for decoration increases so does the need for high performance and cheap price electric stuffs with LEDs The goal of this project is to design and build a LED flashing circuit controlled by audio In this report, the design of the LED circuit to meet the specification is explained The circuit does not involve microcontrollers for simplicity The circuit was built using the Proteus ISIS as a CAD tool The design of the LED flasher was simulated in Proteus to verify its performance Then the circuit was tested on the breadboard In most cases, the objectives of the project were met However, there should be some recommendations for further research and work 1 Introduction 1.1 Motivation We choose this project because of some reasons: - People usually forgot to switch the light off when we don’t use it anymore and cause electricity wasting - Sometimes, people don’t turn the light on due to lazyness and work under dark enviroment Therefore we see that it is necessary to make an smart lamp that can turn on/off automatically to reduce energy wasting and provide sufficient light for the eye 1.2 Purpose - Understand steps in the designing process - Know how to use several electrical equipment, and designing software - Build a well-performed Automatic night light with low price Specification Requirements 2.1 Executive Summary 2.1.1 Project Overview The LED lamp which can automatically regulate the brightness depending on the light level 2.1.2 Purpose and Scope This document addresses the requirements related to the designing phase of the project 2.2 Product Description 2.2.1 Product Context The product is independent and self-contained It is not related to any other products or larger systems 2.3 Requirements 2.3.1 Functional Requirements - The product must have two modes: + Manual switching + Automatic: using photoresistor - The product must have a tuning in order to adjust the brightness of the LEDs - The product should be powered by an AC/DC adapter 2.3.2 Non-functional Requirements 2.3.2.1 Performance 2.3.2.2 2.3.2.3 Hardware Platform - Light emitting diodes (LEDs): Voltage: 12V 2.3.2.4 Appearance - Like a normal lamp - Weight: less than 300g 2.3.2.5 Power Consumption - Power Supply: DC-12V/2A - Power Consumption: 20W 2.3.2.6 Development Time About weeks 2.3.2.7 Development Cost Less than VND 500,000 Planning The next phase in the project is developing plan We created a plan to finish the project on time which started with the Task Table and the Human Resource Table 3.1 Task Table Our project consists of tasks In some tasks, there are sub-tasks Each task has its own deliverables The project starts on December 6th, and ends on January 30th Table 3.1 Task Table Task ID Task Name #1 Learning the basic principle of each component Duration Start Date Dependencie s End Date Deliverables weeks December 6th December 26th Understanding of how the product is made and have the requirement knowledge to make the product The appearance of weeks the lamp December 6th December 19th Have an idea of how the product looks like th th Hardware weeks December December 26 Know about the electronics component to make the product December 19th Programs to make the product works Software #2 Drawing the principle and block diagrams Principle diagram Block diragram weeks December 6th weeks December 13th December 26th Block diagram and principle diagram weeks December 13th December 26th Principle diagram weeks December 13th December 26th Block diagram #3 Making the first model weeks December 27th January 23rd #3.1 Preparation week December 27th January 2nd week December 27th January 2nd week December 27th January 2nd weeks January 3rd January 23rd weeks January 3rd January 23rd #3.2 Buying electronic devices Checking the application in need Construct a prototype Power supply #1 #2 #3.1 First model Connect electronic devices onto the circuit board Checking software together through TeamViewer Designing the slide Testing and fixing #3.3 #4 weeks January 3rd January 23rd weeks January 3rd January 23rd weeks January 3rd January 23rd week January 24th January 30th Slides #3 Final product 2.4 Human Resource Table Our team has members Each one has different strength and weakness The following table will help us on assigning resources to tasks for maximum productivity Table 3.2 Human Resource Table #1 ID Name Pham Manh Tuan #2 Pham Xuan Viet #3 Nguyen Pham Anh Tuan #4 Nguyen Duc Vinh Strength -
