(ii) Accounting Services—Search for Preferential Payments. The trustee or debtor-in- possession will attempt to recover preferential payments. Section 547(f) provides that the debtor is presumed to be insolvent during the 90-day period prior to bankruptcy. This pre- sumption does not apply to transfers to insiders between 91 days and one year prior to bank- ruptcy. This presumption requires the adverse party to come forth with some evidence to prove the presumption. The burden of proof, however, remains with the party in whose favor the presumption exists. Once this presumption is rebutted, insolvency at the time of payment is necessary, and only someone with the training of an accountant is in a position to prove in- solvency. The accountant often assists the debtor or trustee in presenting evidence showing whether the debtor was solvent or insolvent at the time payment was made. In cases where new management is in charge of the business or where a trustee has been appointed, the em- phasis is often on trying to show that the debtor was insolvent in order to recover the previous payments and increase the size of the estate. The creditors’ committee likewise wants to show that the debtor was insolvent at the time of payment to provide a larger basis for payment to unsecured creditors. Of course, the specific creditor recovering the payment looks for evi- dence to indicate that the debtor was solvent at the time payment was made.

MANAGING PROJECTS IN HUMAN RESOURCES TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT PHẦN 4 POT

MANAGING PROJECTS IN HUMAN RESOURCES TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT PHẦN 4 POT

Each objective will identify a clear outcome. The outcome is the deliverable. In some cases, the outcome will be some sort of change achieved and in other cases it will be the production of something new. In either case, the deliver- able should be identified so that it will be easy to demonstrate that it has been achieved. For example, the first objective in a project that aimed to change the service focus of an organization was to ensure that all of the key managers were trained to carry out the change. The deliverable might have been evi- dence that 80 key managers had been trained in managing change. This evidence might have taken the form of records showing that the training had taken place. If the training really was the objective, then this would be suffi- cient. However, the training was intended as preparation for action. It might have been closer to the purpose of this project if the deliverable for this objec- tive had been framed in terms of each of the 80 trained managers being able to provide evidence of having successfully managed change.

So, because we don’t necessarily know if this page will be called with GET or POST , REQUEST comes in handy. BÁO CÁO HÓA HỌC:" DENTAL PAIN, ORAL IMPACTS AND PERCEIVED NEED FOR DENTAL TREATMENT IN TANZANIAN SCHOOL STUDENTS: A CROSS-SECTIONAL STUDY" PPTX

Understanding dental need perceptions is important for the effective planning and implementation of oral health care services. Consistent with theory and empirical find- ings, impaired OHRQoL was positively associated with perceived need for dental care in Kilwa students, indicat- ing that a full understanding of young people's need for dental care cannot be captured by clinical indicators alone. These findings are consistent with previous reports, suggesting that self-evaluations of oral health status rather than disease presence per se are the primary determinants of perceived dental treatment needs [13,38,39]. Consist- ent with results of previous studies in older age groups, the present findings suggest that normatively assessed and perceived need for dental care differs among Tanzanian primary schoolchildren [38]. The present results provide insight into what oral impacts guide Kilwa students' per- ceived need for dental care. As shown in Table 2, respond- ents who reported problem eating, problem cleaning and problem sleeping were those most likely to perceive a need for dental care. Jokovic and Locker [39] found prob- lems associated with chewing and appearance to be the impacts most strongly associated with perceived dental treatment need in adult populations. Future studies should compare the performance of various OHRQoL inventories for children in relation to reported dental pain and perceived need for dental care. Not everybody who perceived oral impacts reported need for dental treatment the latter being related to factors that predispose and ena- ble individuals to express their needs. Thus, the least com- mon discrepancy observed- in terms of reporting no treatment need whilst having impacts were most frequent in urban areas and among children in the less poor wealth categories. This indicates a social gradient in impairment coping- or impairment reducing behaviours, suggesting that urban children possess better ability to cope with adversity including impaired OHRQoL as compared to their rural counterparts. Hastie et al [40] suggested that besides seeking professional treatment, an individual can choose other pain and impairment coping strategies such as self-care, seeking of social support and spiritual/reli- gious coping.

The sample is ignited electrically, and the heat released by the combustion of the s ample is absorbed by the bomb and the water and can be determined by measuring the increase in temperature of the water. The special design of this type of calorimeter allows us to assume that no heat (or mass) is lost to the surroundings during the time it takes to carry out the reaction and measure the temperature change. Therefore, we can call the bomb and the water in which it is s ubmerged an isolated sys-

equations, referred to as the primitive equations, which is essentially the formu- lation proposed by Richardson. The primitive equations differ from the complete momentum equations (2.19)–(2.21) in that the vertical momentum equation is replaced by the hydrostatic approximation, and the small terms in the horizontal momentum equations given in columns C and D in Table 2.1 are neglected. In most models some version of the σ -coordinate system introduced in Section 10.3.1 is used, and the vertical dependence is represented by dividing the atmosphere into a number of levels and utilizing finite difference expressions for vertical derivatives. Both finite differencing and the spectral method have been used for horizontal dis- cretization in operational primitive equation forecast models. Excellent examples of such models are the grid point and spectral models developed at the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF). The numerical forecast- ing system at ECMWF, and several other centers, includes both a deterministic model and an ensemble prediction system. The deterministic model is typically run at very high resolution with the best estimate of the initial conditions. The ensemble prediction system consists of a number of parallel runs of a reduced resolution model in which the initializations (and sometimes the model physics) are slightly perturbed. The spread of forecasts given by members of the ensemble can then be used to assess confidence in the forecasts.

CAMILLE ALEXANDRE DUMAS FILS CHAPTER 16 POT

CAMILLE ALEXANDRE DUMAS FILS CHAPTER 16 POT

I began by borrowing five or six thousand francs on my little capital, and with this I took to gambling. Since gambling houses were destroyed gambling goes on everywhere. Formerly, when one went to Frascati, one had the chance of making a fortune; one played against money, and if one lost, there was always the consolation of saying that one might have gained; whereas now, except in the clubs, where there is still a certain rigour in regard to payments, one is almost certain, the moment one gains a considerable sum, not to receive it. You will readily understand why. Gambling is only likely to be carried on by young people very much in need of money and not possessing the fortune necessary for supporting the life they lead; they gamble, then, and with this result; or else they gain, and then those who lose serve to pay for their horses and mistresses, which is very disagreeable. Debts are contracted, acquaintances begun about a green table end by quarrels in which life or honour comes to grief; and though one may be an honest man, one finds oneself ruined by very honest men, whose only defect is that they have not two hundred thousand francs a year.

Indications for Use Celecoxib has been shown to achieve a significant re- duction in joint pain compared with placebo. 4,5 Celecoxib was evaluated for treatment of the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis of the knee and hip in approximately 4,200 patients in placebo- and active-con- trolled clinical trials of 12 weeks’ duration. In patients with osteoarthritis, treatment with celecoxib 100 or 200 mg qd resulted in a significant improvement as mea- sured by the Western Ontario and McMaster University (WOMAC) index, a composite of pain, stiffness, and functional measures in osteoarthritis. In three 12-week studies of pain accompanying osteoarthritis flare, cele- coxib doses of 100 and 200 mg bid provided notable reduction in pain within 24 to 48 hours of initiation of dos- ing. At doses of 100 mg or 200 mg bid, the effectiveness of celecoxib was similar to that of naproxen 500 mg bid. Doses of 200 mg bid provided no additional benefit over 100 mg bid. A total daily dose of 200 mg is equally ef- fective whether administered as 100 mg bid or 200 mg qd.

Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, which is primarily a result of mankind’s burning fuels, is thought to act like the glass of a greenhouse. It absorbs heat radiation from the earth and its atmosphere, heat that otherwise would dissipate into space. The possibility that the greenhouse effect could alter the earth’s temperature has been debated for many years. Scientists have agreed that carbon dioxide is increasing. The major difficulty in accepting the greenhouse effect has been the absence of served warming coincident with the historic carbon dioxide increase.

Malocclusion is the most common developmental problem, which, in addition to a problem with cosmesis, can interfere with mastication unless corrected through orthodontic techniques. Impacted third molars are common and occasionally become infected. Acquired prognathism due to acromegaly may also lead to malocclusion, as may deformity of the maxilla and mandible due to Paget's disease of the bone. Delayed tooth eruption, receding chin, and a protruding tongue are occasional features of cretinism and hypopituitarism . Congenital syphilis produces tapering, notched (Hutchinson's) incisors and finely nodular (mulberry) molar crowns.

• hydrogen embrittlement • A process resulting in decrease of the toughness or ductility of a metal due to the presence of atomic hydrogen. Hydrogen embrittlement has been recognized classically as being of two types. The first, known as internal hydrogen embrittlement, occurs when the hydrogen enters molten metal which becomes supersaturated with hydrogen immediately after solidification. The second type, environmental hydrogen embrittlement, results from hydrogen being absorbed by solid metals. This can occur during elevated-temperature thermal treatments and in service during electroplating, contact with maintenance chemicals, corrosion reactions, cathodic protection, and operating in high-pressure hydrogen. In the absence of residual stress or external loading, environmental hydrogen embrittlement is manifested in various forms, such as blistering, internal cracking, hydride formation, and reduced ductility. With a tensile stress or stress-intensity factor exceeding a specific threshold, the atomic hydrogen interacts with the metal to induce subcritical crack growth leading to fracture. In the absence of a corrosion reaction (polarized cathodically), the usual term used is hydrogen-assisted cracking (HAC) or hydrogen stress cracking (HSC). In the presence of active corrosion, usually as pits or crevices (polarized anodically), the cracking is generally called stress-corrosion cracking (SCC), but should more properly be called hydrogen- assisted stress-corrosion cracking (HSCC). Thus, HSC and electrochemically anodic SCC can operate separately or in combination (HSCC). In some metals, such as high-strength steels, the mechanism is believed to be all, or nearly all, HSC. The participating mechanism of HSC is not always recognized and may be evaluated under the generic heading of SCC.

WebForms’ ViewState mechanism (and its almost-identical twin, ControlState) is often accused of bloating HTML page sizes (100 KB of Base64-encoded data is never popular), causing “ViewState is invalid” errors, being hard to work with when writing custom controls, and generally leading to the downfall of humanity. It’s probably the most vilified feature in the whole of WebForms. However, I feel that as a general web design pattern, it’s completely sound: web developers have always preserved data in hidden form fields; this just takes it to the next level by formalizing that technique and providing a neat abstraction layer. The trouble with WebForms’ implementation is that ViewState is so automated and so integrated into the platform that you unknowingly end up preserving many, many objects—even objects that produce stupendous vol- umes of data when serialized (e.g., DataTable ). You can disable ViewState selectively on individual controls, but many WebForms controls only work properly when it’s left on. To solve the core problem, you need to retain tight manual control over what data gets serialized, as you did in the preceding example.
