Gene-modified types of plants are developed to enhance the resistance of agricultural plants to the action of specific pesticides (Christoffers et al., 2002; Pyke et al., 2004; Sakagami et al., 2005). Based on the results presented, we may assert that the use of pesticides should drastically be reduced.
