130 CẶP TỪ VÀ CỤM TỪ TIẾNG ANH THƯỜNG BỊ NHẦM LẪN Collected and shared by TRAN MANH TRUNG HONG DUC UNIVERSITY – THANH HOA 2016 130 CẶP TỪ VÀ CỤM TỪ TIẾNG ANH THƯỜNG BỊ NHẦM LẪN Collected and shared by TRAN MANH TRUNG HONG DUC UNIVERSITY – THANH HOA Trên thực tế người học tiếng Anh nói viết bị mắc lỗi dùng từ tiếng Anh sai Việc dùng sai làm câu nói viết bị chuyển sang nghĩa khác trái với ý muốn diễn đạt biến thành câu vô nghĩa Do đó, dùng từ cần thận trọng tả ý nghĩa cho phù hợp Nhiều cặp từ tiếng Anh bị nhầm lẫn lý chủ yếu sau đây: - từ cụm từ khác nên nghĩa khác (ví dụ: in the future in future) - có từ thêm biến tố (tiền tố hậu tố) nghĩa trở nên khác (ví dụ: comprehensible comprehensive) - nhiều từ có chữ viết gần giống phát âm gần giống gây nhầm lẫn (ví dụ: stationary stationery team teem) - nhiều từ chữ viết giống nghĩa lại khác (to lie: nằm – to lie: nói dối ) Xin đơn cử vài ví dụ sau: số bạn thường nhầm lẫn động từ “lie: nằm, nói dối” động từ “lay: đặt , để” lý sau: - Dạng khứ động từ “lie: nằm” lại “lay”: to lie – lay – lain, dạng khứ “lay” “laid”: to lay – laid - laid - Động từ “lie to sbd about smth: nói dối” lại động từ theo qui tắc: to lie – lied – lied Xin trân trọng giới thiệu 130 cặp từ thường gây nhầm lẫn cho người học tiếng Anh Các cặp từ có nghĩa tiếng Việt ví dụ minh họa kèm theo Hy vọng giúp người tránh nhầm lẫn dùng chúng để nói viết tránh nhầm lần đọc hiểu IN FUTURE : từ lần sau, từ trở – IN THE FUTURE: tương lai Examples: - Please be functual in future - Who knows what will happen in the future?
