How to teach really effective? A normal class in class also requires careful preparatiion to be able to teach well and effectively With many years of experience teaching exam preparation, thinking, exploring, exchanging, and discussing with colleagues in the school, I strongly share some of my ideas and thoughts through this experience with my wishes and hopefully share to contribute to exchange experiences, learn from each other, help students achieve the highest efficiency when participating in the exam in grade 10 - high school 1.2 Research purposes The topic is not new, but I find it very important to give it to my colleagues and students to achieve high results This is the difficult and embarrassing part for students and teaching for teachers That topic is: “Effectively apply teaching words anh how to recognize words for entrance exam of high school at Nga Trung secondary school” 1.3 Research objects This topic focuses on teaching the structure of type words and how to recognize words, a required part of exam test Objects are teachers and students of grade - Nga Trung secondary school - Nga Son - Thanh Hoa 1.4 Research methods I myself use theoretical research methods; Practical survey; Statistical; Information coleection and procession 2 CONTENT OF INITIATIVE EXPERIENCE 2.1 Theoretical basis of th initiative of experience In the format of a test structure for English subjects in grade 10- high school, word - form exercises have an important place in the learning and exam process Teaching this type of lesson is difficult because the topic of vocabulary is long, student are difficult to remember, the law of structure is not absolute So to be able to get the maximum points for this section is very little Because of that, I have done this research of the topic: “ Efectively apply teaching words anh how to recognize words for entrance exam of high school at Nga Trung secondary school” 2.2 Current state of the problem before applying the initiative For many years, the results of the English exam in grade 10 are not high, the average point is low, according to the statistics as follows: TT School School year School year School year 2015-2016 2016-2017 2017-2018 4,56% Nga Trung 4,45% 4,29% 2.3 The solutions used to solve the problem 2.3.1 Some of basic words 2.3.1.1 Adjectives 2.3.1.1.1 location : - Behind a measurement (nouns of measurement) - Behind indefinite pronoun Indefinite pronoun is: anybody, anything, somebody, something, everybody, everything, neither, none, each, either,… - Order of adjective in a sentence: Quality  Size  Age  Shape  Color  Origin  Material  Kind 2.3.1.1.2 The forms of adjectives: * Common tails of adjectives: able (fashionable); _ish (foolish); _ic (workaholic); _est (best); _ent (diligent); (i) ous (delicious); _y (healthy); _ful (successful); _ible (invisible); ant (important); _al (natural); _ive (active); _less (homeless); _ar (familiar) * Adjective ending in _ing: Adjective is the cause of emotion: Example: frightening boy: scary boy = boy who causes fear to others * Adjective ends with _ed: emotional Example: frightened boy: the boy is frightened * Some adjectives end with _ly (the same format as adverb but not adverb): friendly, ugly, lonely, lovely, early, likely, manly, daily, weekly, monthly, yearly Note: The words are both adjective and adverb: wrong, long, late, last, kindly, hard, free, fast, daily, best, all day, early, well 2.3.1.1.3 Ways of establishing adjectives: -A+Vadj: Ex: asleep, alive… -Un/in+adjadj (neg_meaning): Ex: unhappy, inactive -V+edadj: Ex: learned, pleased… -N+enadj(chất liệu): Ex: golden, wooden… -N+ernadj(chỉ phương hướng): Ex: southern, northern… -N+fuladj: Ex: beautiful, halpful… -N+ishadj(hơi hơi,có vẽ): Ex: blackish, childish… -N+likeadj(có vẽ,giống như…): Ex: dreanmlike, fairylike… -N+lyadj: Ex: friendly, lovely… -N/adj+someadj(chỉ tính cách): Ex: handsome, quarrelsome… -N+yadj(chỉ thời tiết): Ex: sunny, rainy… 2.3.1.2 Adverbs 2.3.1.2.1 Types of adverbs: + Adverbs of possibility (talking about a certainty or uncertainty about something), including: certainly = definitely: sure; probably: maybe; maybe and perhaps + Adverbs of opinion (talking about his feelings of surprise), including: fortunately: luck; happily; incredibly: unbelievable; luckily; obviously: coherent, clear; strangely: overwhelmed; and surprisingly: amazing + Adverbs of time (are adverb used to express time): yesterday; today; tomorrow; now; recently; soon; fortnightly: half a month now Adverbs of manner: used to describe how something happens / the way someone does something And it is used to answer How questions, including: unexpectedly; quietly; carefully; slowly; enthusiastically + Adverbs of Degree (ahead of other adjectives and adverb) - These adverbs make the meaning of adjective and other adverb stronger: extremely, quite, really, and very - The adverbs makes the meaning of adjective and other adverb weaker: fairly, pretty, and somewhat + Adverbs of indefinite Frequency (adverbs indicating frequency) In the direction: happen often -> don't happen: Always -> almost always -> frequently -> usually -> generally -> often -> sometimes -> occasional -> rarely -> seldom -> hardly ever -> almost never -> never In the affirmative situation, the frequency adverb usually comes after be and comes before the ordinary verb In negative situations, most Adverbs of Frequency precede be not or / does + not + Adverbs of definite Frequency: tells us when something happens 2.3.1.2.2 Position of adverbs: - Can be first and last as the adverbs of time: yesterday, last year, tomorrow, daily, lately, - Can stand in the middle of the sentence That is: after the auxiliary verb and before the other verbs in the sentence such as the adverbs indicating frequency, showing the way Note: If there are auxiliary verbs in a sentence, then adverb usually comes after the first auxiliary verb 2.3.1.2.3 Order of adverbs in a sentence: Manner + place + time (how / where / when) Ex: She read quietly in the library all afternoon 2.3.1.2.4 Ways of forming adverbs: -adj + lyadv of manner; Ex: slowly, beautifully * Note: -The words: friendly, lovely, lonely, likely, homely… don't have the adverb form ta can be replaced with an equivalent adverb Ex: likely (seemingly) = probadly (perhaps) Friendly = in a friendly way Lovely = in a lovely way (a lovely way) -far / fast / hard (adj / adv) 2.3.1.3 Nouns 2.3.1.3 Location: - After preposition: in, on, of, with, under, about, at Ex: Thanh is good at literature + Adjectives (adjectives): Adjectives usually stand in the following positions - Before noun: Adj + N Ex: My Tam is a famous singer -
