If the object is a pronoun the adverb must come after the object We must putitoff for another week

The preposition cannot be separated from the verb
EX: take after = be similar to older relative (resemble) He takes after his mother

He takes his mother after He takes her after
4 Type = verb + adverb + preposition + object EX: put up with = tolerate
