Nguyen Trong Nhan Many people think that raising the fuel tax is the best way to solve traffic jams and environment – related problems To what extent you agree/ disagree? It is said that increasing on taxation of fuel is the positive idea which governments are able to reduce traffic jams and environment Although there are some conveniences of this phenomenon, I would argue that there are far more drawbacks There are many reasons why people harbor the view that it is essential to raise fuel fee It is noticeable that inclining in fuel tax leads to the result that people are less using than the past Therefore, there will be a significant decreasing on gasoline which is very limited in the world, and air polluted are not emitted much than the past; thus, environment and health are surely protected Moreover, the habit of using own vehicles are going to change because humans turn to get acquainted with public transportations As the result, there are no longer so much cars on the street; that’s why the authority wants to increase the tax to reduce the traffic jams Despite the positives which are mentioned above, I believe that imposing tax on fuel is a negative development for a variety of causes The first is that ripple effects occurs when an important consumer good as gasoline has increasing on value To be more specific, all of consumer index also have a considerable raising on price in other to catch up with the market trend This leads to the negative result that lower-class citizens find it very difficult to manage ends meet every day Secondly, instead of taxation on fuel fee, the governments should give special care to renewable energy such as the water, wind, solar energy If more sustainable are utilized to run vehicles and factories, there will be less emission of harmful gases which contributes increasing air pollution considerably In conclusion, while I recognize that the advantages of fuel tax imposing, I consider it a negative development overall
