serve over pork chops Pork Loin Chops in Spiced Apple Cream Serves Ingredients: (4oz) boneless pork loin chops 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon pepper tablespoons all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg pinch ground allspice tablespoon butter tablespoon olive oil cup apple cider tablespoons cornstarch 1/2 cup chicken broth 1/2 cup half-and-half or cream Method: Season pork chops with 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/2 teaspoon pepper Mix together flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, nutmeg, and allspice Coat chops with the mixture Cook chops in butter and oil in a skillet until brown on both sides Add apple cider and bring to a boil Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer until pork is cooked through Remove pork and keep warm Increase heat to medium- high Dissolve cornstarch in the chicken broth, and stir into simmering cider Cook for 1-2 minutes until thickened Stir in the half-and-half and simmer until hot Serve sauce over the pork chops Creamy Brandy Flamb é ed Pork Chops Serves Ingredients: 1/2 cup all-purpose flour Salt and pepper, to taste 1/4 cup butter (8oz) bone-in pork chops 1/2 pound mushrooms, sliced tablespoon butter 1/2 cup brandy 1/2 cup hard apple cider 1/2 cup heavy cream Granny Smith apple, thinly sliced Method: Preheat oven to 325 °F (165 °C) Combine flour, salt and pepper and use to coat pork Cook pork chops in 1/4 cup butter until brown on both sides and cooked through Add mushrooms and remaining butter and cook until tender Remove skillet from heat Pour brandy over the pork chops, and carefully light with a match Once the flames burn out, remove pork chops and keep warm Pour apple cider into the skillet and cook over a medium heat until liquid is reduced by half Add cream and cook until reduced by half Add apple slices and cook for minutes or until tender To serve, spoon the apple- mushroom sauce over the pork chops Thanksgiving Pork Chops Serves Ingredients: boneless pork chops 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper 1/4 cup apple cider or juice 1/2 cup whole cranberry sauce tablespoons honey tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg Method: Season chops with pepper and cook until brown on both sides Add apple cider Cook, covered over low heat for 5-6 minutes or until chops are cooked through Drain Mix together cranberry sauce, honey, orange juice concentrate, ginger and nutmeg Pour over chops Cook for to minutes, until heated through Creamy Apple Pork Chops with Apple Brandy Serves Ingredients: 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon seasoned salt boneless pork loin chops 1/4 cup butter 1/2 cup chopped green onions Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, sliced cups sliced fresh mushrooms teaspoon dried thyme teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper cup apple brandy cup heavy cream Method: Combine flour and seasoned salt and coat chops evenly Cook chops in a skillet in the butter until brown on both sides Remove from skillet and set aside Add onions, apples, and mushrooms to skillet, cooking until soft Stir in thyme, salt, pepper, and apple brandy Return chops to skillet and simmer for about 10 minutes Mix in cream and simmer, without boiling, until sauce thickens, about 10 minutes longer Gingered Pork Chops in Orange Juice & Brandy Serves Ingredients: 1/4 cup all-purpose flour teaspoons ground ginger Salt to taste 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper tablespoons olive oil thick cut pork chops onion, thinly sliced tablespoon brandy 1/2 cups orange juice Method: Preheat the oven to 350 °F (175 °C) Combine flour, ginger, salt and pepper and use to coat chops Cook chops in oil in a skillet until brown on both sides Transfer to a greased 9x13 inch baking dish Add onion to the skillet, and cook until translucent Add brandy and stir well Pour over pork chops Pour orange juice over pork chops Cover and bake for 45 minutes, or until chops are cooked through To
