FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MAIN: 6305 State Road 70 East, Bradenton, FL 34203 EAST: 5520 Lakewood Ranch Boulevard, Bradenton, FL 34211 WEST: 5505 34th Street West, Bradenton, FL 34210 Contact: Maura C Howl, APR 941.752.8100 x 2166 howlmc@manateeschools.net http://ManateeTech.edu MTC welcomes Heather Koester to serve area business/industry (Bradenton, FL—March 2, 2021) Manatee Technical College (MTC) welcomes Heather Koester as its new Business and Industry Services Coordinator In this vital role, Koester will connect the local business community to more than 50 workforce training programs that lead directly to employment in occupations relevant to the infrastructure and future growth of the Suncoast Workforce Region In her role at MTC, Koester will work to build on and establish strong communication lines with current and new business and industry partners, to include: • develop programs to keep the current and future staff of our local employers trained to meet current and emerging workforce needs, • connect local employers with qualified applicants who have technical knowledge, as well as the practical experience necessary in today’s technology-driven environment, and • align business and industry leaders with MTC’s Advisory Council to contribute to the future growth and economic stability of our area Koester began her career in the United States Army as a combat medic While there she honed her leadership skills and was appointed to lead a U.S Army Public Relations Initiative over a six-state region After her time in the military, she worked for a Michigan-based company as the Business Development Manager, analyzing market strategies to drive integration of new ventures Most recently Koester was the Lead Community Engagement Coordinator with The Patterson Foundation, positively impacting the work in a four-county region for the Suncoast Campaign for GradeLevel Reading Initiative Her dedication to the local community can be seen in her years of civic leadership on numerous for-profit and non-profit boards Koester earned a Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Executive Leadership She recently earned a Marketing Strategy Certification from Cornell University and is currently obtaining her Project Management Certification Koester looks forward to utilizing her skillset to connect the business community to the programs and graduates of Manatee Technical College Connect with Heather Koester at koesterh@manateeschools.net or 941.751.7900 x 1022 About Manatee Technical College Manatee Technical College is accredited by the Council on Occupational Education and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools MTC has three campuses within the School District of Manatee County and offers over 50 career preparation programs, as well as continuing education and adult general education classes The mission of MTC is to produce highly skilled individuals and resourceful leaders through collaborative education to meet the ever-changing needs of our communities and the workforce ### .. .MTC is to produce highly skilled individuals and resourceful leaders through collaborative education to meet the ever-changing needs of our communities
